Travel need not cost the earth

The Car Free Living Project acts as a source of advice and virtual community for people wishing to live without a car, or at least to limit their car use.

While most of us are aware of the environmental advantages of living car free there are many social and health benefits. Car dependency affects more than just journey decisions, such as the habitual use of cars when other alternatives are available, but can also affect your decisions about where you live, work, or even where you send your children to school.

Car free living saves you money in the long term - and benefits your neighbour, near and far, in so many ways.
